In this evening’s panel discussion, invited speakers  will talk about some particular challenges depicted by Loving Earth panels of their choice, what is being or can be done locally,  and what more needs to be done at national and international levels. There will also be opportunities for audience participation. 

Speakers will include:

Alistair McIntosh - Glasgow Quaker and environmental campaigner
Zarina Ahmed - Climate change and environment officer
Gillian McFarland - Visual artist working on land use
 Lindsey Fielder Cook -  Quaker United Nations Office
Jon Slowe: Director, Delta Energy & Environment consultancy

Rici Marshall Cross  (Edinburgh Quakers) will be the MC.

This panel discussion will be held both at Glasgow Meeting House and on Zoom, and is Free.

    Loving Earth Exhibition t in Dunbar

    September 3 - September 20 


    A group of Loving Earth textile panels will be on display at the Town House Museum and Gallery, Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland

    The exhibition will be open to the public each day from 1pm - 5pm whilst the Townhouse is open.

    This stitching workshop  coincides with the Loving Earth exhibition  and will be facilitated by Isabella Hodge, Textiles Tutor at Made in East Lothian Arts Hub.

    The  exhibition has free entry, but for the workshop there is a nominal fee of £5.00.

    Plans are being made  for a group of Loving Earth Panels  to be displayed in   central Manchester for a few weeks  in October/November.  These dates are  provisional.

    Loving Earth Project at Bournemouth Library

    Would you like to take part in the Loving Earth Project which is coming to Bournemouth Library?

    This is a chance to show others what you are concerned about and how it is being impacted by climate breakdown. It could be something that is being effected globally or locally.

    At the workshops we will help you turn your idea into a textile panel. You can attend one or all three workshops and continue to work on your panel at home. Panels will be exhibited in February 2023.

    Loving Earth Project Exhibition Bournemouth Library

    Join us at this Loving Earth Project Exhibition which is touring the world. See the beautiful, textile panels created by many people in response to climate justice. From Monday 30th January to Friday 24th February 2023.

    An exhibition of panels from the Loving Earth Project  at Portcullis House, Westminster  from 17 February to 17 March is being planned.

    The LEP panels will be in the exhibition space at The Station, Richmond, North Yorkshire from 30th March and running until 12th April 2023.

    The Richmondshire  Refugee Support Group is working with some recently arrived refugee women from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan  and they will be running a series of workshops throughout the rest of 2022, as well as the refugee women they will have local women from textile groups involved.

    They have started introducing the women to different textile techniques and are planning on walks in the surrounding countryside where they will start to discuss the impacts of climate  change.
