Loving Earth exhibitions in and around Glasgow today

Groups of Loving Earth panels are on display in several venues in and around Glasgow for COP 26 . Full details are listed on the Nov 1 page of this calendar .

Those you can see today are at: Maryhill Burgh Halls , The Scottish Maritime Museum in Dumbarton ( a short train ride from Glasgow and a nice place to see the Clyde open out), and at two Save the Children shops.  The exhibition at the Gorbals Parish Church reopens on Friday and there's a textile workshop on Saturday at the Maritime Museum.

    Loving Earth Project at Bournemouth Library

    Would you like to take part in the Loving Earth Project which is coming to Bournemouth Library?

    This is a chance to show others what you are concerned about and how it is being impacted by climate breakdown. It could be something that is being effected globally or locally.

    At the workshops we will help you turn your idea into a textile panel. You can attend one or all three workshops and continue to work on your panel at home. Panels will be exhibited in February 2023.

    Join us at this Loving Earth Project Exhibition which is touring the world. See the beautiful, textile panels created by many people in response to climate justice. From Monday 30th January to Friday 24th February 2023.

    This exhibition coincides with GoGreenSalford month (March)

    The LEP panels will be in the exhibition space at The Station, Richmond, North Yorkshire www.thestation.co.uk from 30th March and running until 12th April 2023.

    The Richmondshire  Refugee Support Group is working with some recently arrived refugee women from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan  and they will be running a series of workshops throughout the rest of 2022, as well as the refugee women they will have local women from textile groups involved.

    They have started introducing the women to different textile techniques and are planning on walks in the surrounding countryside where they will start to discuss the impacts of climate  change.

    The LEP panels will be in the exhibition space at The Station, Richmond, North Yorkshire www.thestation.co.uk from 30th March and running until 12th April 2023.

    The Richmondshire  Refugee Support Group is working with some recently arrived refugee women from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan  and they will be running a series of workshops throughout the rest of 2022, as well as the refugee women they will have local women from textile groups involved.

    They have started introducing the women to different textile techniques and are planning on walks in the surrounding countryside where they will start to discuss the impacts of climate  change.

    Loving Earth panels will be on display in Sacramento, California and elsewhere in the USA in Spring 2023.

    Panels will be at Sacramento's Museum of Science and Curiosity for the whole month. This is a wonderful new venue with interactive exhibits for children of all ages. They have about 600 visitors a day. The panels will hang in the main corridor leading to their nature & environment wing.

    • Smaller exhibits will also be on display on weekends in Sacramento at a Catholic parish, Sacramento Meetinghouse, and a Unitarian church.
    • The Atrium Art Cafe in Old Sacramento will have panels exhibited for the week leading up to Earth Day. This is a storefront that hosts exhibits and also invites people come in and create artwork. We plan to provide supplies for people to draw paper panels using the three LEP questions.
