Loving Earth Project at Parks in Mind, Bournemouth

All are welcome to join the project. Making a textile panel in response to the Loving Earth questions creates space to reflect more deeply, find out more, and decide what we will do next. Please join our workshops:

    Loving Earth Project at Bournemouth Library

    October 19 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

    Would you like to take part in the Loving Earth Project which is coming to Bournemouth Library?

    This is a chance to show others what you are concerned about and how it is being impacted by climate breakdown. It could be something that is being effected globally or locally.

    At the workshops we will help you turn your idea into a textile panel. You can attend one or all three workshops and continue to work on your panel at home. Panels will be exhibited in February 2023.

    Loving Earth poetry workshop Tuesday 25th Oct 7-8pm UK time

    Join Tracey Martin for some creative activities to help you write poems based on some of the Loving Earth panels. No previous experience of writing poems required. All welcome.

    You are welcome  to send us any poems you have written inspired by the Loving Earth Project . Please send them to quakerartsuk@gmail.com, with the word "poetry" in the email title. Please include a few words about yourself and indicate which panel(s) inspired your poem(s). Thanks.

    Loving Earth Project at Bournemouth Library

    The LEP panels will be in the exhibition space at The Station, Richmond, North Yorkshire www.thestation.co.uk from 30th March and running until 12th April 2023.

    The Richmondshire  Refugee Support Group is working with some recently arrived refugee women from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan  and they will be running a series of workshops throughout the rest of 2022, as well as the refugee women they will have local women from textile groups involved.

    They have started introducing the women to different textile techniques and are planning on walks in the surrounding countryside where they will start to discuss the impacts of climate  change.
