  • Green Libraries in Merton

    Merton libraries will be celebrating Libraries Week from 2-8 October, the theme this year is Green Libraries, focusing on sustainability and climate change.

    As part of the celebrations, Wimbledon and Morden libraries will have displays and workshops in partnership with the Loving Earth Project. Some of the textile panels on display will be those made at previous workshops in Merton libraries.
    Wimbledon Library is at 35 , Wimbledon Hill road, SW197NB
    Morden Library is at Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4

  • Here for Justice: Why the Loving Earth Project?

    As part of St Johns Waterloo’s interfaith series of Exploring Spirit events Linda Murgatroyd will give a short talk about the origins and purpose of the Loving Earth Projet , followed by a Question and Answer session.

    This will take place after the 10. 30 service and a coffee break. All welcome.

  • Loving Earth Exploring Spirit at St John’s Waterloo

    The Loving Earth Project will be exhibiting a large number of textile panels in the Crypt at St John’s as part of a series of Loving Earth events in London this autumn.

    This exhibition will be part of St John’s  Exploring Spirit festival, linking up with Black History Month in October, the season of Remembrance and InterFaith Week in November.

    An opening event will be held on 19th October. The exhibition will be open on selected weekdays from 9am to 5pm, on Sunday mornings, and on selected evenings, but this will depend on other events at the church.
