Green Libraries in Merton
Merton libraries will be celebrating Libraries Week from 2-8 October, the theme this year is Green Libraries, focusing on sustainability and climate change.
As part of the celebrations, Wimbledon and Morden libraries will have displays and workshops in partnership with the Loving Earth Project. Some of the textile panels on display will be those made at previous workshops in Merton libraries.

Loving Earth exhibition at Friends House, London
Friends House , Euston173-177 Euston road, London NW12BJA large exhibition of Loving Earth panels will be held in the Quaker Centre and downstairs corridors of Friends House, as part of a series of events in London during the autumn.
The Quaker Bookshop at Friends House will also be selling Loving Earth project books and cards. ,
Normally open during office hours on weekdays. Associated events include a launch and poetry reading on 5th October, a book launch on 23rd November and interactive Climate Fresk and Active Hope workshops on 2 December.

Loving Earth poetry book launch event at Friends House, London
Friends House , Euston173-177 Euston road, London NW12BJThis event launches the Out of Excuses poetry book and exhibition of textile art, to be held in the Quaker Centre and corridors of Friends House.
A selection of poems from the book will be read by the poets.
Free, but please book your place via Eventbrite in advance .
Refreshments from 4pm;
Welcome speeches and poetry reading from 5pm.

Here for Justice: Why the Loving Earth Project?
St John's Waterloo73 Waterloo Road London SE1 8TYAs part of St Johns Waterloo’s interfaith series of Exploring Spirit events Linda Murgatroyd will give a short talk about the origins and purpose of the Loving Earth Projet , followed by a Question and Answer session.
This will take place after the 10. 30 service and a coffee break. All welcome.

Loving Earth Exploring Spirit at St John's Waterloo
St John's Waterloo73 Waterloo Road London SE1 8TYThe Loving Earth Project will be exhibiting a large number of textile panels in the Crypt at St John’s as part of a series of Loving Earth events in London this autumn.
This exhibition will be part of St John’s Exploring Spirit festival, linking up with Black History Month in October, the season of Remembrance and InterFaith Week in November.
An opening event will be held on 19th October. The exhibition will be open on selected weekdays from 9am to 5pm, on Sunday mornings, and on selected evenings, but this will depend on other events at the church.
