A continuing series of exhibitions in Britain and abroad, together with other events. Please double check venue websites for opening times etc. All are welcome at these events.
A selection of Loving Earth Project’s textile panels continues to be on display in the foyer of Maryhill Burgh Hall during COP 26 and in the weeks before it.
Come and see some beautiful textile images in different styles made by a variety of people in around the world, about some of the things they personally love, what needs to happen to avoid damage to them from climate and environmental breakdown, and what the panel- makers are doing to help.
What do you love? You can also add your own contribution to the installation of Loving Earth postcards at Maryhill Burgh Halls.

A display of Loving Earth panels will continue to be on show at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Dumbarton from 25 September until the end of January 2022.
A series of textile workshops and other events will be organised during the course of the exhibition.

A display of some of the Loving Earth Project panels made locally will be on show at Wimbledon Library from 4th to 9th October.
Organised in conjunction with Sustainable Merton, this display will include a few pf the Lockdown Legacy panels, and panels made in the Library workshops held in 2020 before lockdown – though many of them are currently on display in Scotland for COP 26.

The exhibition will be held in Dundee Meeting House. It will be open to the general public on Thursdays, 14th October through to 4th November.
Our Meeting House has only recently been opened and the exhibition will provide an opportunity for Quakers from other parts of Scotland and local people to visit the new space.

Join us on Zoom for readings of their poetry by four Quaker poets, responding to the climate crisis, introduced by Jennifer Kavanagh.
Ella Otomewo is a poet who found her voice in the spoken word community years ago, and now writes for both the page and the stage. She lives in Manchester.
Philip Gross is mostly a poet, for adults and young people, a former academic and a keen collaborator across art forms.He won the T. S. Eliot Prize, 2009. His home is in South Wales.
Sam Donaldson writes poetry, runs spiritual retreats and has been active on a range of peace, humanitarian and environmental issues. He’s based in Humberside.
Stevie Krayer is a poet whose publications include three collections of poetry and an anthology (co-edited with R V Bailey) of Quaker poets. Brought up in London’s East End, she has lived in Wales for nearly 30 years.
Jennifer Kavanagh worked in publishing for many years and has written a number of fiction and non-fiction books herself.

Would you like to make your own textile panel as part of the Loving Earth Project? Come along to our free workshop on the opening day of the Loving Earth exhibition at Gorbals Parish Church, on Saturday 30 October from 3pm to 4.30pm. Materials provided but you are welcome to bring some of your own.
Doors open at 2.30 pm for the exhibition at Gorbals Parish Church, 1 Errol Gardens, Glasgow G5 0RA and you are welcome to stay on after the workshop.
A selection of textile panels from our international collection will be on display at the Meeting House during COP 26 fortnight.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Friday 5th till Sunday 7th November inclusive, from 2 till 5pm. All welcome.
The rest of the time those attending other events at the Meeting house users of the Meeting will have the opportunity to see this display. This includes the discussion of issues raised by Loving Earth textile panels, on the evening of 3rd November (at the Meeting House and on Zoom).
