If you'd like to make a loving earth panel - be it your first or another one -  and within reach of Wimbledon Library (hard by Wimbledon station), why not bring your work in progress, ideas, questions etc and join others in an informal chat while we work?  All welcome.  

this won't be a formal workshop, but we can all help one another. If you haven't already done so please take a look at our Loving Earth Meditation and guidance on the Resources page of this website.

    Loving Earth Project at Bournemouth Library

    Would you like to take part in the Loving Earth Project which is coming to Bournemouth Library?

    This is a chance to show others what you are concerned about and how it is being impacted by climate breakdown. It could be something that is being effected globally or locally.

    At the workshops we will help you turn your idea into a textile panel. You can attend one or all three workshops and continue to work on your panel at home. Panels will be exhibited in February 2023.

    A selection of Loving Earth panels will be on display at Edinburgh Central Quaker Meeting House from 2 to 6pm Monday-Saturday for the 3 weeks beginning August 8th.

    Meetings for Worship for Creativity will be held in conjunction with the LEP exhibition on August 9th and 25th (2pm-5.30pm each day), inviting Friends and visitors to create panels using various media to add to the exhibition.

    This stitching workshop  coincides with the Loving Earth exhibition  and will be facilitated by Isabella Hodge, Textiles Tutor at Made in East Lothian Arts Hub.

    The  exhibition has free entry, but for the workshop there is a nominal fee of £5.00.

    Places in the stitching workshop are limited, so early enquiries are advised.

    The LEP panels will be in the exhibition space at The Station, Richmond, North Yorkshire www.thestation.co.uk from 30th March and running until 12th April 2023.

    The Richmondshire  Refugee Support Group is working with some recently arrived refugee women from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan  and they will be running a series of workshops throughout the rest of 2022, as well as the refugee women they will have local women from textile groups involved.

    They have started introducing the women to different textile techniques and are planning on walks in the surrounding countryside where they will start to discuss the impacts of climate  change.
