    Loving Earth panels at Maryhill Burgh Halls

    A selection of Loving Earth Project’s textile panels continues to be  on display in the foyer of Maryhill Burgh Hall during COP 26 and in the weeks before it.

    Come and see some beautiful textile images in different styles made by a variety of people in around the world, about some of the things they personally love, what needs to happen to avoid damage to them from climate and environmental breakdown,  and what the panel- makers are doing to help.

    What do you love?  You can also add your own contribution to the installation of Loving Earth postcards at Maryhill Burgh Halls.

    Free.

    Opening times are generally Monday – Friday (10am – 6pm). Please see the Hall website for updates and more details.

    A display of Loving Earth panels will continue to be on show at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Dumbarton from 25 September until the end of January 2022.

    A series of textile workshops and other events will be organised during the course of the exhibition.

    Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm .

    Loving Earth Project display at Wimbledon Library

    A display of some of the Loving Earth Project panels made locally will be on show at Wimbledon Library from 4th to 9th October.

    Organised in conjunction with Sustainable Merton, this display will include a few pf the Lockdown Legacy panels, and panels made in the Library workshops held in 2020 before lockdown  – though many of them  are currently on display in Scotland  for COP 26.

    Loving Earth Exhibition at Dundee Meeting House

    The exhibition will be held in Dundee Meeting House. It will be open to the general public on Thursdays, 14th October through  to  4th November.
    Our Meeting House has only recently been opened and the exhibition will provide an opportunity for Quakers from other parts of Scotland and local people to visit the new space.

    The building has level access.
    The display will be open on Thursdays from 12.30 – 4pm. There will be a short Meeting for Worship at 12.30.

    The demonstrations/ come and try sessions are 1 – 3pm . 14th Oct, rope/string mat making.  21st Oct, new uses for old felted jumpers!  Two more to be decided.
