Loving Earth exhibitions in and around Glasgow today

Groups of Loving Earth panels are on display in several venues in and around Glasgow for COP 26 . Full details are listed on the Nov 1 page of this calendar .

Reopening today are those at The Quaker Meeting House (from 1 to 5pm ) and the Gorbals Parish Church (from 4 till 8pm). Also open are displays at Maryhill Burgh Halls , The Scottish Maritime Museum in Dumbarton ( a short train ride from Glasgow and a nice place to see the Clyde open out), and at two Save the Children shops.  There’s a textile workshop coming up on Sunday at Gorbals church.

This  evening you can see them and join a discussion  with participants from around the world at Glasgow Meeting House, and there’s a textile workshop on Sunday at Gorbals church.

Loving Earth exhibition at Scottish Maritime Museum, Dumbarton


A display of Loving Earth panels continues to be on show at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Dumbarton until the end of January 2022.

A series of textile workshops and other events will be organised during the course of the exhibition.

Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm .

Loving Earth panels at Maryhill Burgh Halls

A selection of Loving Earth Project’s textile panels continues to be  on display in the foyer of Maryhill Burgh Hall during COP 26 and in the weeks before it.

Come and see some beautiful textile images in different styles made by a variety of people in around the world, about some of the things they personally love, what needs to happen to avoid damage to them from climate and environmental breakdown,  and what the panel- makers are doing to help.

What do you love?  You can also add your own contribution to the installation of Loving Earth postcards at Maryhill Burgh Halls.

Free.
