    Are you making a textile panel for the Loving Earth Project ?
    This is an informal opportunity to share your work-in-progress, problems, inspirations and reflections with others, including asking for help with design or textile techniques if necessary.

    It’s also a chance to share something of how you may have been moved by the project to take action on living more sustainably,  share questions or join a more general chat.

    This informal event is for anyone who is making a textile panels to contribute to the international community textile project. If you’d like to make a panel, have got started or need more help with design or techniques, come and share your questions and ideas and meet other panel-makers. It would also be lovely to hear reflections from those who have finished your panels, and discuss possible or actual actions to help us live more sustainably in future.

    You çan get started on your panel on your own, using resources on the Loving Earth Project website or with others at a “getting started” workshop  or a Loving Earth Project course – displayed elsewhere on this calendar.

    Panel-makers' chat - Lockdown Legacy

    This informal chat, hosted by Sustainable Merton, is primarily for those making panels  as part of the Lockdown Legacy project jointly run by Sustainable Merton and Loving Earth Project. It offers a chance to explore  links between our COVID lockdown experience and our relationship with the environement – local and beyond. What are we learning from the pandemic, and what weould we like to see emerge? You’re wlecome to bring your work in progress if you like, and we can also share textile problems, suggestions and materials.

    Getting started with your panel

    This Zoom event will get you started on making a textile panel in any style, to contribute to the international community textile project. All welcome.

    You’ll be invited to do a little preparation from home in advance of the event though this is not essential and will be welcome to join our online chats for panel makers as your panel progresses, if you like.
